1. Sign Up.

  • Log in or create an account, here.

  • Pick >_ Run on CLI when asked “Where do you want to scan?”

2. Run Semgrep from your CLI.

  • Install Semgrep locally using brew install semgrep or python3 -m pip install semgrep

  • Log in from the CLI with <semgrep login>, then click Activate.

  • From your CLI, go to root of a folder with code. Semgrep requires lockfiles to scan, so choose a repo (in a supported language) with at least one lockfile. Search your code for a repository that has one of the lockfiles listed in our docs.

  • Scan by running <semgrep ci --supply-chain>.

Eligibility

Code scanned must be written in one of the 7 languages Semgrep supports with reachability.

Your submission must contain the following information to be valid: name, company (no students), business email, mailing address (no PO boxes), Semgrep deployment ID. We reserve the right to confirm your identity.

AirPods Maxs provided (US and Canada only) while supplies last (first-come, first-serve) and will be mailed out within two months of completion.

No existing Semgrep Supply Chain customers. Participants cannot work for companies that make products or services that compete with Semgrep. Must be currently employed with an AppSec title.
